Let my g/f drive...

I let my wife drive my car once to let me hear the exhaust. Sounded so awesome, but she chirped the tires around the corner. I was a bit shocked. She's a capable stick driver, but she sure was bad at the first gear, always complained it was too touchy in first, well shoot, that's what happens when you have some torque under your foot!

I let my wife drive the GT when she asks in that nice way. Its such a different sound and feeling you get when you are not the one driviing it. I fall in love with it everytime.

I taught my g/f how to drive a stick in my car too. She touched my hose so you know, I had to. I taught her at 2 AM in a Lowe's parking lot. There was nothing there except light poles but she did pretty good. I got her mainly just start out, no shifting. This time I got her to shift all the way into 3rd in the parking lot.

I would never let her drive it on the open road. Empty parking lots only. I've seen how she drives her probe :)

On a side note though, I don't drive anyone elses car like I drive mine. If you asked me to drive yours I'd baby it until you told me to get on it. I don't take risks in unknown cars :)

good, you're one of the few. I let my friend try my car out once cuz supposedly he was "sick at stick" but he apparently forgot you need to put the clutch in when doing a quick 1-2 shift... I almost had him stop to check for pieces of the transmission on the road :nonono: Hence why no one drives my car now

yeah every once in while i'll start getting board of the stang so i'll have a buddy drive it and i'll fallow it in my truck and damn i fall in love with it all over again when i do that!!

Twice i've let someone drive my car. The first time it was after i installed my shocks & struts and i didn't test drive it. My auto shop teacher who is an old school muscle guy said he'll drive it and i watched it drive away and i heard the exhaust and i loved it, it was just washed so it looked awesome. The 2nd time i promised my buddy who can really drive i'd let him when he installed his tri-ax on his Lincoln, and he did good aside from grinding reverse.haha

The only people who have driven my cobra are the guys at the mustang shop I use. Just in the parking lot the car sounded great, best part was how mean the exhaust sounds when the car was turning 7000+ rpms on the dyno.

No way in hell would I let someone try to learn how to drive a manual on my cobra, my clutch and transmission are too expensive for that.

hahahaha, for sure

i've had my car for 2 years and only 2 of my friends have drove it...and that was only because they filled the tank with premium:D

I've done the same thing. Noone drives it anymore but me, though. I let one friend borrow it one time, and it's never been the same. In his defense, we did trade cars that night, and his notchback now has quite a bit less tire left.
