P&P heads, aggresive cams, upper plenum/tb, full exhaust, ud pulleys and you should be right around 300 rwhp.

05 GT ...with 3 valve heads and a new intake 300hp
Sorry couldnt resist..the 05 comment

But seriously on 99-04... Throttle body upper intake plenum, VT or Crane Cam upgrade, and a good dyno tune. If you throw long tube headers you nicely be over 300, injector upgrade would be nice too but not needed.

Its impossilbe without either a head upgrade or cam upgrade,

Somehow you have let the engine breath better.

actually, he's gonna need more than that. nickthegenius has L/Ts, cams, and a bunch of bolt-ons, and he's only putting down 290 rwhp. if he had every bolt-on, plus cams, L/Ts and a tune, he might be VERY close i think.

I personally think it's possible without touching the heads/cams. I believe someone had did it on Modular Depot. You just have to exhaust every upgrade besides heads and cams to achieve it.

Why not just use nitrous? I know you said w/o nitrous, but honestly, its the quickest, cheapest way. If you do it right, its perfectly safe. All these other mods like p&p heads, cams, tune, LT's, upper plenum, pullies. When all is said and done, your wallet is gonna be hurtin. On the other hand, a NX or Zex wet kit, with all the safety parts (fuel pressure safety switch, rpm switch, wideband) and a tune to be on the safe side will be way cheaper, and will get you over 300 with less than a 75 shot. Not to mention the massive torque increase. Just something to think about

running n/a I cant see it possible without a set of cams and better flowing heads. Just other bolt ons will not get you there..

Haha thats funny throttle body/plenum, cams, and dyno tune and you will be at 300 rwhp You will for sure need P&P PI heads, aftermarket cams VT or Comp are what people normally go with, LT's, TB/plenum, aftermarket mid-pipe. Most likely you will need the rest of the other little bolt-ons also. I've got a friend who is making 301 rwhp in his 98 GT and he has pretty much everything except UDP and an aftermarket Intake manifold (he has the PI intake).

i'm not sure how much rwhp i've got, but i'm thinking about getting a set of heads made and getting a set of Comp Cams, the stage 2 cams from Brothers.com.. with the heads i'm gonna get made, i'm gonna get them ported, polished and get the angle-valve jobs done on them, put some flat-top or dished pistons (whichever will be best for street use) and aftermarket internals for the rest.. i may even swap out my mac prochamber for the long-tube headers/mac prochamber kit (instead of getting some useless shorty headers)

I would really love to see those slips, graphs, and detailed pics of the engine because with stock PI heads I've never heard of anybody doing it. Maybe they have one hell of an aggressive cam or something, also have an aftermarket intake manifold on there thats good for another 10-15 rwhp. Not to mention what kind of dyno was it done on? Unless it was on a wide band oxygen sensor dynojet I dont really even trust the results. To say the least I'm a bit sceptical of anybody who has claimed to have made 300 rwhp without both cams and P&P heads because alot of people have tried and failed.

Well, I guess from my point of view. I don't see it being impossible to get 300rwhp from where I'm at currently. If I get a P-51, long tubes, electric water pump and a tune, I should either be right there if not past it. But it's all speculation until I do it. I just dont think it's impossible.

I say quit pissing around with the light weight bolt-ons and save up for a blower. You'll end up spending damn near the same in the long run and the rewards will be far greater with the charger. Not to mention you'll retain your stock fuel economy and drive-ability in the process.

Starkie or AutomaticWeapon did it with cams and bolt-ons and no head work.

I think my car could have done it with a better tune and an electric water pump. A bunch of guys at Modular Depot have gotten 5-7rwhp out of those Meizere pumps. And the guy that tuned my car said mine was the first cammed 4.6L that he had done

However, thats all theoretical since I will hopefully be Stangless on Tuesday

tony put 305 down on stock heads, he never got any good slips like that because he was on the stock clutch and it was slipping going down the track, but would yank the fronts on the launch and kept taking everything off thinking the cams were just giving numbers on the dyno....

get a blower, it's easier and you will have more power.
