You know that the Rolex series is part of NASCAR, right? NASCAR drivers even drive in some of the races. NASCAR also owns AMA.

Yeah, yeah, I know, but besides you, me and few others, nobody does But we're talking about the series itself, not drivers who participate in other races. I'd rather watch paint dry on the wall then watch a bunch of essentially same cars driving in circles. The only time it's exciting is when there is carnage on the track. I mean 200mph collisions are most of the time nothing short of spectacular.

Actually on a road course setup they have the linkage and can drive in rain. They did it a few years ago in Montreal.

Yall don't understand the true joy of NASCAR! It aint about the sport. It's about tailgatin and hatin on Jeff Gordon. You don't even hafta watch the race to be a fan. As long as you know beer is good, Jeff Gordon sucks D.E.J's dick, beer is good, and D.E.S will always be a legend.

Check, check, and check now how about that Monica Fitzpatrick Go Daddy girl, is it ok to hate on her while starring at her 'headlight' decals?

Never been into Nascar... however about 4-7 years ago there was some chit that went down on a track and sportscenter was covering it...some driver ended up running out on the track throwing his helmet at another drivers car... that chit was funny as h that's about the closest I've ever come to being a Nascar fan.

Maybe it's like family guy where you need to watch a few to really get into it

I've had nightmares about being in the stands at a race, surrounded by all those rednecks...PBR here, plumber butt there, flip flops as far as the eye can see, and the inescapable stench of sweaty armpits mixed with warm beer and cigarette smoke.

Not sure why everyone buys into the stereotype. I've seen some of that but it's not the majority. And some pretty hot women are at the races.

I don't follow nascar but I do like listening to it on the radio when I'm working in the garage...well, if I'm in there while a race is going on at least, which doesn't seem to be all that often anymore...

Also I have found that I feel more comfortable around rednecks than some other groups of people...

The reason i'd rather watch drag racing is because it's something i can actually go out and DO. Try taking your DD to an oval track and running it WOT this weekend.

Superficially, Nascar cars are closer to my car then the funny cars, or the alcohol "doohickies" and "methane/propane", "whatchmacallits." Its possible for my car to see near the horse power of NASCAR vehicles, unlikely but possible, my car will never see 1000 block horsepower like the pro dragsters. Plus if I'm gonna go, what 250 or mph's, there better be wings attached and a hot piece of woman tale serving me some food.

Them pro dragsters scare me to watch, especially the funny cars, not so funny after a crash.

Well, this is why there are many different levels of drag racing. It's not all top fuel 8000hp/300mph. There are many 8-9 second cars in the drag radial classes that can be driven to the grocery store and back if you want to...how much closer to my car is that than a stock car?

actual question about tactics

Get ready the big race is less than an hour away!

Hey question for you all, I saw the highlights from yesterdays race I guess NASCAR has 73 different series - LOL - and they are renamed arbitrarily every 6 months seems like, so anyway the Nationwide race, what was that riding up the other guys @ss thing all about, they can do that?
