Talk to me boys . Cheaper to piece my own ? I really was looking at running a Glenn's performance contained kit as I like the street car look of having no sump

http://www.glennsperformance.com/product_info.php?cPath=62&products_id=256

And I can always go to a triple pump hat later if needed if I get past that level . opinions are welcomed here . I am thinking of just doing this over winter as well with the dart stuff in prep for the future .

I suppose how much over 500 WHP you plan to go. If going to just 500 WHP, then stock rails and line will work if the pump is good enough and the injectors are big enough. Much over 500 WHP I would be looking to upgrade the entire fuel system.http://kennebell.net/KBWebsite/Common/pdfs/fuelpumptech.pdf
Here is some good information about fuel pumps and fuel pressure ^^^^^^

I've read a lot of good reviews on the Glenn's kit fwiw and is upgradeable for extreme power levels.

Just build your own. -10 feed -8 return -8 to each rail two 255 pumps or a a1000. I would suggest running a sump tank also. Might cost you roughly the same but it's the way to go. That should get you to 800-1000 no problem

I just made 592 rwhp with an oxygenated fuel thru a 255 in the tank, with a 255 pusher pump, stock lines up to the swaybar mount, then i have a bulkhead that swaps to a -8 feed and -6 return. I made 582 rwhp on 93 octane.

I am going to put a sumped tank in it soon and am using a holley 1800hp fuel pump. The new holley pumps are badarse, they are a brushless so the motors will last a long time and it should also be very quiet.

I don't like having to have the pump pull the fuel out of the tank. Much better to just have it gravity fed to it. Can damage the pump. I did do it with the pickup at first but when I could afford it went right to the sump.

Wow that's awesome. Way back when I was just getting to 475 with a 255 a inline and stock lines. But also had stock rails. Forgot about the new holley pumps.

^LOL!

I read somewhere on this site that the stock lines along with SN95 rails with upgraded pump and injectors will do 600 hp no problem. anything over that needs bigger lines and rails. only thing stock on my car is lines, and when the bugs are finally out of it I'll post some numbers.

@bentley429isBAC stock rails are definitely a choke point, i think the only reason i get away with it is because i have a naturally aspirated combo. I dont really advise what i am doing but if someone is on a budget it will work. Without having a sumped tank it really does suck when i run the car at the track. If it doesnt have enough fuel in it the thing bogs pretty hard off the line.

I spoke to. a buddy of mine just bsing who was big into the vortech stuff In the 90s him and another few guys were out racing with Larocca back then and he made 589 with a vortech on stock rails and stuff had a 255 intake and a 255 inline . I am sure that thing was maxed out . but what I am seeing is I can at 500-550 keep what I have for now

You are correct. I had my Vortech setup at over 500 to the wheels. Stock lines and rails with a 255 in-tank and 255 inline. The 42lb injectors were at 98% duty cycle, so they were getting enough fuel. Once your fuel requirements demand injectors larger than 60lb'ers, it's time for a fuel system.

When I was doing mine I looked at the glens stuff then decided to piece my own together. I sumped a 19gal RCI cell, used an A1000 pump, 10AN feed 8An return with BBRC rails and 80#s dekas. It cost me less than the glens setup in the end.
