I have a 'glass decklid on my 68 fastback and when I release the latch with a remote release the lid snaps up too quick. Has anyone come up with a way of slowing up the travel or cushioning the bounce?

I would have to look at mine, but I seem to think you can remove one of the torsion bar springs so it wont be so powerful.

or remove them both, and just hold / prop it open. That's what I do. There maybe a bars for lightweight lids though
Try Tony Branda.com

This is a 68 FB so the springs are small circular style. However removing one may be the best solution. Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best!! Thanks!!

dunno if this helps any at all but one time on my 66 i had put the rods back in wrong the just opposite the way they should of been right side should of been on left side etc. and this made the spring very weak easy to install for a stock lid but i wondered witha lighter one how nice it would open, just a thought better than nothin

hope that might help meybe not but worth a try
