Hi, I live in Ma., Perhaps if your goal is weight oriented you may consider a full-size battery relocated to the trunk. This will improve your handling without sacrificing electrical capacity. A trunk-mounted Optima Red (in a vented enclosure, of course) with the proper gauge cables should yield great results all year.
I’d choose a Deka If you want to save a little Weight, Money- function strong in Winter.
Summer applications- check out Braille Mfg. Batteries..50% Weight loss- over an Optima Battery with the same output. If they only had a Winter setup!
