Lightened Crank

Has anyone lightened or knife edged their crank on their 2.3. What are the big advantages? Would you recommend it on turbo motor or n/a?

I haven't and I wouldn't recommend it. The main advantage of lightening them is for high revving...the stockers have went over 9500 though so I don't see the point.

Knife edging is probably worth a few ponies but not worth it for the money...there are much cheaper/easier ways to make power.

I didn't know they went that high... 9500 is a lot. Thanks for the info Stinger.

if you do that, you will have the crank/rotating assembly reblanced.

so I would have to agree with stinger, take the $300.00-$400.00 and put that towards a "STINGER HEADER"

(there ya go Stinger, a plug for ya)
