Hello, all: Does anyone have any suggestions for brighter headlights on an 86 gt? I like the factory look but need brighter lights than regular replacement bulbs. I suppose LEDs are the way to go but I want a quality bulb that looks good and functions well. Of course, I need low and high beams. Ideas welcome.
Cheers.

You would just not wire the low beam side on the inner lights.

Whatever you do, aim the headlights properly. Have consideration for other drivers on the road and dont blind them with bright lights aimed too high

I ran glass housings with LED H4 bulbs for a short while in my 86. Waste of time and money. Terrible beam pattern on low beams no matter how they were adjusted. Hi beams were acceptable.

The LED's and H4 housing were removed over the winter and the old sealed beam halogens went back in and I wired up relays. Much brighter than stock and 10x better than the POS LED's.

IMO--Keep your current headlights, install some relays and call it a day.
