Limited Slip

Yes, you can. Is it easy? Depends on your skill level.

Is your 8.8 open due to being worn out? All mustang 8.8s are already limited slip. Or is the rear from something ekse that never had a limited slip?

Yes, a couple ways to do it.

For an f150, you could just go to the junkyard and get a complete 8.8 axle assembly and swap into your truck. That was a $200 option when I checked last spring.

Or get a jy traction lock and swap it in. The gears stay the same so you would only have to adjust side shims if backlash was off a bit. Note that a Mustang has 28 spline axles and a truck has 31 spline axles so the traction lock for a truck has to be from a truck or explorer, etc.
