When I shopped for a line lock kit, it was SLP or none. SLP was the only one that came with pre-bent solid brake lines for our cars. The other brands were sort of generic and require you to fabricate your own brake lines.

The one you linked is $88. The SLP one is $116. I'd pay the extra $28 bucks and have a simple bolt on kit. You'd probably end up spending more than that dicking with tubes and a small pipe bender.

I agree go with the slp its not worth the headachs..

anyone know if the SLP will work with the 96-98GT's?? So far every kit I've found has been for 99+ mustangs.

You've probably already gotten your question answered but I'll toss what I have in: I have the Hurst Roll Control with the button mounted on the shifter so I can use it without removing my hand from the shifter. I've had the hurst line-locs since the 60's and that is what I am used to. I felt the toggle switch may be somewhat of a problem because of things that are being mentioned in this thread. With a momentary switch button type I couldn't see the problem of it accidently being flipped while using the brakes like a toggle could be.

My Son used the SLP line-loc on his '04 GT but he went with the Hurst T-handle with the momentary switch button already in it so he would have the same situation with the switch vs the toggle. Hurst also makes a round knob with the button in it but it is on top and he felt that he would be pushing the button all the time if he were to rest his hand on the shifter with that one.

The SLP kit is way easier to install than my Hurst was because of the pre-bent lines etc., so if you elected to go with the SLP and wanted to use a momentary switch button type you could do as he did or go to Radio Shack and get an inexpensive button to use instead of the toggle.

The other option I was thinking of is to use a foot activated switch on the dead pedal in addition to the toggle switch. It would feel natural, like power braking. And it would be far from reach of the passengers.
