but Dude, you should do the exterior as well. Spring is comming and all that snow melting will mix with the salt. It's gonna be like driving through an ocean. It will be spraying up on your doors and in the body gaps. Plus as an added bonus you should be able to gain a couple tenths without the wind being able to stick to your car, it will slip right off

This avatar rocks. One day... when I'm sitting around trying to figure out how to get rid of some money, I'm going to do this to a car. If I were going to do it today, it would be to a Chrysler 300C. I want a Luxury, high rise 4x4. hehe

Thanks man. I have actually seen Stangs & Vettes done up like this nonono: ).

I would like to do it to too, though. Maybe to a Chevette ... or Festiva.

Dude, that would be a "free rustproofing".

I wonder how many free rustproofings I'll hand out tonight on my way to townsend?

Woooww that is very....interesting? no offense but everytime i look at that pic i start cracking up. when i first read "the best rustproofing" i thought i was gonna see a bunch of rubber all over ur fenderwells and stuff from a massive burnout or something. I wouldnt have believed it like that if i didnt see the pics. ive used this rust sealer stuff, paint and or some undercoating and thats good for me, and we get plenty of salt here in NJ....i hear ya about having to drive it in the winter, mines a d/d too...thats just a, gotta see to believe thing

Looks like his car is having its period. That time of the month, eh?
Look for an old mattress for a giant maxi-pad.

The harshness of the truth...you saved 200$, the cost of a decent undercoating job..but in the end created just a silly silly story for the rest of us..not a great idea.

Well, T+2 days

Here's what it looks like(attachment)

LOL, I guess it picked up a few pebbles but to all you naysayers:

1. The world didnt end.

2. There were no cars on the highway swerving around because they got sprayed with hot grease following the greasinator

3. I didnt die and there was no grease whatsoever on the tires or brakes or anything at all. It pretty much stayed where I put it.

4. It doesnt smell like anything. Even I thought it would have a greasy smell but absolutely nothing. I thought I smell a faint wiff of almost a sweet smell once or twice but that was it. It doesnt even smell now that its parked in the garage.

5. There is no grease on my driveway, under the car or anywhere else. It stayed put.

And look at it this way, I'm picking up a protective layer of pebbles on the bottom. Pretty soon, if a rock flies up to hit the bottom, it will hit another rock instead. This is like slowly armoring the bottom.

I'll post another shot in like 10 days to see if there are any small animals or manhole covers stuck to the bottom.

Where I live in Toronto there are companys like Rust Check and Crown as two examples that offer light oil spray rust proofing products.

This is the stuff to use as it can be sprayed into hard to reach areas and displaces moisture and is rubber and electrical friendly.

You can buy similar rustproofing products on the market and do it yourself if you have a compressor to spray it on.

Yearly applications are recommended, however,I`ve skipped some years.
My car has been winter driven since 91`,and these oil spray products have prevented it from turning into a rust bucket.
