How much lower from the car do long tube headers hang?

Basically.....my car is at stock ride hight due to my driveway. If I was any lower than stock, I would scrape real bad all the time going in and out. So....will long tubes hang lower than all stock pieces do now?

Thanks.

I think LT sits lower then stock set up is sort of mith. As far as my BBK goes, its tiny tniy bit(if at all) lower because of the frange. But only by like pubic hair. other then that, i think its same hight. On my driveway, I have nasty bump i need to drive over. And header or mif pipe have never scraped that. And I remenber looking at it with my old near stock set up that its awful close. So it might be lower like then 1/8"? My tip on exhaust hits bump befor pipe does

This pic makes it look bad, but it's not really that bad. I think the prochamber is the lowest point. I have scraped over some big speed bumps when I go to fast but that's about it.
Get the LT's.

yea I scrape my midpipe more than my headers. I have to go very slow & at an angle over one stupid speed bump going into work since i did my full exhaust...i don't scrape often and it's worth it!!

Thanks for all the replies. I was under the interprtaion they hung much lower.

I know for sure I will be moving out of my house in July, and it will be on the market sometime in Janurary, so I could be out sonner than that.

I cant wait till I move so I can lower it, but it sounds like the headers might be a go now if I wanted.

I was just looking at your sig and where you are from. Did the shop in your signature do the work on your car? How much did they charge you, if you dont mind me asking? You can PM me if you want.

I've got a friend in Charlotte who is an increadable mechanic that I know would cut me a break on labor, but I dont know if I can convince him to tackle the job. It may not be worth the time for him even if I try to pay him extra.

I want to do headers, gears, x-pipe, plenum, T.B., timing adjuster, u.d. pullies, and cold air kit at once. Plus I would need a tune. I was thinking of driving down to Atlanta to go to MPH for the tune, but I may consider staying local.

Thanks in advance for the info.
