I had one question, Is it possible to buy longtube headers then just bold up say a MAC pro-dump exhaust straight to the headers? Or with long tubes do you have to buy an x-pipe? If anyone has installed longtubes on a fox please let me know how hard it was and what brand to purchase! Thanks for your help guys!

you have to lift the motor up some to get longtubes in i believe, and i hear that shorties are better if you aren't making serious power... so you may just wanna think about what you want in the end first, or if you don't mind making more than one purchase for headers...

You don't have to buy a mid-pipe. You could probably have something fabricated off the ends of the collectors to dump them right away, but you'll be sacrificing loads of low-end torque and horsepower, not to mention ground clearance in doing so. Don't be such a cheapskate. Spend the hundred bucks on an O/R H-pipe to do it right.

The midpipe weather a H or X or pro-chamber helps make power by using scavaging, it is a complicated subject.
