What long tube headers clear the transmition so you can work on the clutch without removing them????

I think the ones you are reffering to is Hooker headers. I think another company makes them, but not sure. Perhaps Kooks headers ?

i have read on the depot that both hooker and kooks do. hooker though seems to have some leaking issues every once in a while.. but i have heard very little on kooks in general, good or bad.

my understanding is that bassani midlength headers allow for the work as well, i need to confirm this with the company, but have seen a few posts that say the bassani's alow for the clutch/tranny work

where do you find kooks headers for mustangs to buy? I've looked around and haven't had much luck finding anything.

bassani mid-lengths will indeed allow the tranny to be dropped w/o removing them. One simply has to remove the collectors from both headers (simple, rent a slide hammer) and the tranny comes right out - had to do this when I replaced my clutch.

i read about those a few days ago... if i am not mistaken the guy that is "testing" them is not sure about longevity, but performace and fit is the same as hooker. good show on bringing those up, i forgot about them.

Thats it, flowtechs. Thats the other company I was thinking of that was designed to allow for transmission clearance. Thanks for clearing that up Jongo.

Hooker Headers are suppose to be known for clearing the tranny.
