Can you recreate this exhaust sound with short headers?

your in california so you probably can't legally do it. a lot goes into an exhaust sound. the cam, the headers, midpipe, catback. i say if that is the sound you really want then you just copy that setup.

Actually my car sounded about the same as that car. MAC Long Tubes, MAC Prochamber, MAC cat back system. Also that car has a cam in it with a nice lope.

Idle outside the car.

Small romp inside the car.

Thanks for the replies.

Hypothetically if this guy changed his headers to shorts and a shorty header x pipe do you think it would still sound somewhat similar? Found a couple vids on youtube and they sounded poppy. So I'm courious if the car has higher compression and that eliminated the pop from the exhaust.

If you change from long to shorty headers and change the mid pipe the sound will
Change along with it. X pipes h pipes cats and with out and pro
Chambers all sound different from eachother

Like Venom said above the headers don't really change the sound. The midpipe and mufflers change the sound and tone. If you want that lope in the video you posted then you'll need to change the cam as well. I bet that white car has Heads, Cam, Intake, Exhaust, etc. Not many people change the cam without changing heads and intake too.
