So which is it, can you maintain decent tune using o2 sensors and long tube headers? I read somewhere that the fact that the sensors are located so much farther away from the engine in the exhaust tract that it screws up the readings or something like that? Anyone have personal experience with this?

I have longtubes on my 89. Car runs perfect. I had to lengthen the wires to the o2 sensors. Car runs awsome.
50resto and brothers' sells extender wire harnesses, which make things easier and cleaner.
I have an Autometer air:fuel ratio guage, when I put on longtubes, it didn't dance around as much, and seems to be more of a delay in the reading when just cruising or low rpm's, but when I get on it, the reading is just as fast, as far as I can tell.

I bought the gauge used and have not recieved it yet in the mail.
Anyway, is there anyway to tell what each light on the gauge has for value. I know each light is a voltage. But is there a coversion table that tells what each voltage equals to A/F mixture.
Do you understand????
