Hey! I'll start by saying this forum kicks ass and i recently passed emmissions! yayyyy

My problem is that my car is a 4 cyl conversion and still has the 4 cyl k-member. The guy that sold me the car said that I cannot fit long tubes with this set-up...period. I think I can though because I know that my suspension set-up in the front was used on the 79-85 GT's that CAN fit long tubes. I think as long as i go with long tubes designed for 79-93 stangs that i'll be alright.....they should clear the k-member. Is this correct?

Thanks! Sam

Are you sure there is a dif between the k-members?
They always looked the same to me. Never heard of a difference before.

302 bolts right up to a 4cyl k-member doesn't it?

The 4cyl k-member is the same as the V8 one. The difference in brakes has more to do with the spindles that are on the car.

Yes, you're good to go. The guy who sold you the car is an idiot.

yea...the more i learn about the specs on my '90 the more i realize the previous owner is full of crap. now its just a matter of picking out some good long tubes (got my eye on the coated pace setters) and a good mid-pipe setup
