I want to get a set of long tubes. What are the best set? I know I want 1 3/4 primary on it but I dont know what is the best brand. What do you guys think. I am looking for a bitchin sound and more importantly the best performance.

Thanks,
Dave

i have 1 5/8" BBK's, and the guy who installed them said they were the best fitting headers he's ever installed. no hassle. what kind of engine are these going on? just curious why you want 1 3/4"?

another vote for BBKs,I just put a set on my brothers 88 abd its the best fitting header I ever installed,I also had a set on my 01 Bullitt and loved them..also have them on my 89GT..

oh- i would like to add about my BBK's: for the price i can't really complain, but i was very unimpressed with the weld quality, and the chrome finish. since i have a couple years welding experience, it was not a big deal for me to fix, but the quality was still sub-par. Every one of welds had a lot of overlap that i had to grind to make the transition smooth. there was a TON of spatter, and even a couple 1" pieces of mig wire inside. Two of the welds had holes that i could see right through. i would be so pissed if i hadn't noticed them until after install. and the outside of the pipes had many rough tool markings on them (from the bending i presume) which were just chromed over and did not look good. my car is definately no show car, but i had figured they would be better quality than what i recieved. maybe i just got a bad set, but whatever. if they hadn't come from the states ( i'm in canada) and were bought locally, i probably would have returned them. but they did fit nice i guess!

Ive got BBK 1 3/4" long tubes, the rub on the stearing some since i have offset rack bushings but other then that the fit and finish is really nices. They are hooked to a 3" X pipe and 3" flowmasters. It has a really deep sound crusing and screams at WOT i like it alot.
