No, we're required to have them here in Ontario as well and quite frankly, I'm so used to them I think a vehicle looks naked without one.

I will get some washed pics up real soon, and I have at LP frame from the cobras now, so it will look a bit better. IDK the plate is fine with me, the fold away piece is nice too. The stock frame looks 10x better than it just screwed on there, they did that so I would leave "legal".
