What body kit is this? It claims Cobra R kit....but that doesn't look like a true Cobra R bumper...and Cobra R's didn't have sideskirts right? And certainly not a Cobra R wing.

Sorta ricey looking, but has....
2000 Ford Mustang GT, 27K, auto, Borla side exhaust, BBK X pipe, 18in chrome whls, Cobra R ground effects, 373 gears, K&N air filter, never seen winter, $12,500

Watcha think?

Or this...2002....5sp...cloth....49k....$12.9k. The prices around here all seem so high. What would this be worth in your area? Seems like to get anything 2001 and up with less than 50k miles cost at least 13k or 14k. Think prices will get any cheaper in the spring since it will be a new year?

Prices will get cheaper but the fall is a great time to buy a Mustang. Everyone wants anything but Mustangs in the fall.

I like the red one better except for the wing, you would soon want new rims on the silver and rims are pricey as hell.

I'd say get the silver one. It's unmolested. Better to start with a fresh new platform, and do what you want to do to it. That, and you will know the quality of the work done. Who knows what backyard mechanic did those 3.73s.

I'd go for the silver one. I couldnt drive the red one the way it is. The wing and the nose simply have to go. :barf:

And i dont like the chrome rims with the red paint either. Too bling.

:stupid: . starting off fresh i think would be the better way to go, and its also a 5sp.

talk them down

Silver one no contest, but talk them down. Don't pay more than $10,500 or $11,000 for that one if you can help it. If they wont budge and you can afford it, that price is high, but not horrible...

Those 17" wheels on the silver one are about the lightest 17" wheels you can get. They are not flashy but if you want performance, those are it. Bullitts are heavly as hell (especially chrome ones) and will make your car quite slow.

my chrome bullets weigh .8 pounds more than my stock 17's

the silver one is a good deal. average w/s is 11200 on that. spring time will generally bring higher prices than fall/winter....especially on a mustang. i can buy them for avg book all day long or less right now. when spring rolls around i pay clean book plus. If the dealer pays more, so will the consumer.

I too would go for the silver '02.Fresh,and ready for you start clean with :nice: ,and it is a 5 speed :D .
To me that price ain't to bad, should see what the guys here in Canada sell there '01 + for, even though some might sell cheaper, but there k's are usually high!.LOL!!

I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. That red one is northern tip of OH...so its like 5 hours away, and doesn't seem like its worth going up there to even look at. Right now I'm just keeping my eyes open and on prices. That silver one is close to what I'm looking for...a little older and decent mileage, although I'd prefer a little less miles. And for sure want a 5spd. Sounds like from what you guys are saying, the silver one isn't a bad price, but its no deal.

And...I sold my 04 because it was having problems. Kept having an engine rattle, and I took it in 4-5 times under warranty. At first they'd claim they couldn't hear it, I'd drive over there and reproduce the sound, first dealer thought it was a bad cat. So I waited 3 months for them to get the part shipped, never did. Last winter I finally just swapped out the exhaust myself with a prochamber, and it still rattled. Needless to say I was pretty frustrated. Took it to another dealer, couldn't hear, I reproduced it....they tell me it was a valve rattle. Put 2 brand new heads on it. Got it back, still freakin' rattled and then it leaked oil from where they obviously did something a little half-assed. So anyways, I finally decided that car caused me more frustration and stress always trying to figure out what was wrong with it and waiting to mod it because I didn't want to tempt the warranty gods. So it went bye-bye for the Explorer, which my wife now drives and we use to pull the boat we bought :D

So....I'm looking to sell/trade my Hyundai Sonata for another stang...and keep the payments the same, so about 12k. Plus I'm looking for a DD, something very very cheap. And I know buying a stang from a private seller will be cheaper, but then I have the complication of having to sell my Hyundai privately, and float 2 payments. I'm probably going to find the DD first, then sell the Hyundai privately, then buy a stang without worry about trade-in, etc. And I can take my time finding a stang cuz I'll have the DD to drive.
