I am a NewB on the Mustang Market...Have admired the cars for years and now I have my first...I would like to know what you guys would do with a 1997 4.6L GT with 64,000 on the Ticker and had about 3 Grand to put into it...I am looking for a list...I have a friend that has been into mustangs all his life (my best friends dad 1967 Shelby 500, 1993 Cobra, 2001 Bullitt) to help me learn... But would just like more opinions on what to do... Thanks for your help(Girlfriend is already VERY Jealous of my car anyone else have that problem)

Yeah mine hates me for not letting her drive it!! 3g's woooooooow..........well first would have to be a PI head swap, then full exhaust, followed shortly by gears(3.73 or 4.10's), tri-ax shifter, CAI and throttle body, and some suspension upgrades, i.e. some springs to drop that bad bay about an inch or so.....If you have and money left get yourself a good set of drag radials for all your new found power!!!

Sounds Good...I am running an Automatic sooooo.....haha my girl sometimes closes up cuz I wont let her behind the wheel...Oh well!! she dont have a patent on it haha

I would say that first thing you should do is decide what kind of power you are looking for? PI Headswap is a great bang for the buck mod. Gears kick ass too! If its a 5spd go with 4.10 gear. I just ordered mine yesterday and can't wait for them to show. :nice: Longtubes, midpipe and a catback will give a mean sound to the stang and some nice power also. There are a lot of options when it comes to performance.
