I was looking at ordering the MTX-L wideband that comes in the ‘Tuner Kit’ by MegaSquirt, thoughts? Secondly, is Tuner Studio MS Lite enough, just curious. And lastly… you have to tune via Speed Density???… I missed that bit of info when researching my optionsIt is a batch fire model that is wired to use an onboard map sensor, the tune will be done in speed density vs MAF. It has the AC controls wired in and has other nice features such as fan control boost control ect.
You will need to purchase Tuner Studio MS or Ultra to make life easy. It does not have a built in wideband, I suggest either a spartan2 or an AEM x series.

Speed density is a fine algorithm, in fact almost all of your modern day production vehicles use speed density. You can tune it in Alpha-N [throttle based] or MAF if you choose to do so, you just have to wire that sensor in.
Lite is not enough, I require all remote tuning customers to have at least the registered version of the software. I dont like to waste time

ok. i should have asked, which ‘model’ do you suggest? One of the pimpx or MegaSquirts? I clearly hadn’t done enough research and seeing you say how the MS2 uses batch fire instead of sequential has me wondering. I don’t wanna start a project with an ECU system I got cheaper vs one that is easiest to work with/best for meLook around in the tuning forum, I have many links in my signature
I think we have the same rims...I have an MS2PNP in my stock build and it runs fantastic. There isn't anything wrong with MS2, but the MS3 is the most current along with better features/options with it. If you are putting the MS2 (MS2PNP) and MS3 (PIMPXS) side-by-side then I would choose the MS3 everytime.

I did purchase the MegaSquirt2 today, knew I needed to add a wideband so will add that, and I’ll purchase the full version of Tuner Studio.
