Well I decided to buy me another car so I can give a break to my mustang. I can't make up my mind between a 2011 Mazdaspeed3 or a 2011 GTI. What do you guys think?

They are both 4 door. Mazda has a 2.3 turbo 263hp and the GTI 2.0 turbo 200hp. But the Mazda gives you 25mpg highway and the GTI 32mpg. Both around 24-25 grand.

I'd go with the GTI. The Mazda's may have more HP and be quicker, but the GTI has the upper hand with regards to refinement, handling, and gas mileage. To me the GTI makes a better DD, and you still have the Mustang to go fast in.

The GTI would definitely make a better daily driver. Who cares if it isn't as fast as the Mazda, that's what you have the stang for

I absolutely love my mazdaspeed3. I have a 2007 and don't regret buying at all. The 2011 has a great interior and I would disagree with whoever stated that the gti would be more refined. If it was being compared to an older one like mine I would agree but the changes they made for the 2010+ ms3 they are great. Upgrades are very easy and these cars respond very well to mods. And I just races a 2011 gti yesterday and completely embarrassed him. Go with the Mazda, you won't regret it.

I was just looking into the Mazdaspeed3. The guys on mazdaspeedforums are claiming low 30 mpg on the highway. They also put them at around 300whp with an intake, exhaust, and tune.

Why not buy a 2010 for the $17k price range?
