the bottom line up front: is this website for real? It looks kind of shady to me... anyone ever use it?
The backstory: I'm returning from my third deployment. I've been in the Army for 10+ years and it's taken me away from my hobby that I 'grew up' learning to love, working on cars. I recently was accepted to be a helicopter pilot and that means I'll be at various training and in schools in Alabama for a couple years, so I won't be deploying. Also, Alabama isn't known for its activities, so unless i get a boat to fish, I'll need a project. Since I sold my last of 5 mustangs a couple years ago, I've really missed it. In that same time however, I met some friends in Tennessee who have an old 59 vette and I got to drive it around some and now I think I might want to branch out to the classic corvette side. Now I can't decide which car to buy and work on! I want a car that is unique and rare to see on the streets. I could always buy my aunt's 67 SS/RS Camaro, but I feel you see those first gen Camaros around all the time. Although Mustangs are not that rare, because I had five of them (88, 89, 93 svt, 94 svt and 95) I know them well and wouldn't have to learn as much to work on one. The upside to the C-2 corvettes is that they appreciate in value so my wife is a fan of those. My short list includes a 93 cobra, a 94/95 cobra, a C-2 vette, a 67-68 fastback, or a first generation bronco. All pretty different from the other. If you want to chime in on which of these (or make another arguement for a different car) I'd like to hear it. Forgive my long explanation about why I can't decide what I want on account of the fact that I'm afghanistan and have too much time on my hands at night haha!
