I will give props where props are due...untill I saw the infamous Almoststock pics I was not even aware of the 'bling' concept available to us in our hobby. At the very best my engine was a mess...at best, his work and willingness to share info is what allowed me to attain a theme that draws people in..his tips on working with aluminum and just general info made available (not to mention his continued kind words) have been very helpfull and inspiring in getting to where I am now..and I have a LONG way to go in comparison to so many others. Hell if someone fails to say words of thanks to ya Paul....let me do it for them...thanks for all your help.

Spence at 2kool is a good guy. Ive ordered a bunch from him and he always gets me set up in no time at all.

I will also give props to Brent at 2Kool. He is a good guy to dela with. Doesn't hurt that he lives about 5 minutes away from my parents either

I agree with DMAN. Paul is the one that inspired me as well, and his assistance was greatly appreciated.

I have to give Paul (ALMOST STOCK) a ton of credit as well. I talked to him on the phone and email, probably more than I ever have with anyone. I learned a lot from him as well as how to be creative with my own ideas as well. Not only did he help out with all of my questions, I also made one of the best friends of my life along the way. He has an amazing family as well and they have always made me feel "right at home". You won't find a more helpful and sincere person than Paul. I definately owe him!

Thanks Derek, Scott and Tim for the words I do appreciate it.

As Tim knows when I started my project 6+ yrs ago no one would say a word about hiding wires, vacuum line or anything else for that matter, it was like it top secret or something.
So I made up my mind over 6 yrs ago that if I could clean things up and make it look presentable I’d tell anyone who asked and wanted to listen.

Tim you know your always welcome here anytime any day, you’re one of the family members my friend.

Derek sorry I didn’t get back to you on the Moose and Beaver dinner thing , maybe next year though.

Mine is under the front drivers side fender. I believe thats were everyone puts them. Do not want to put words in others mouths though.

i dont get it, lol do yas take ur fenders off to do this or?
and isnt it kind of a peice of work if it gets bad and goes, i plan on doing mine simular to the silver car i just need some instructions on where to put the wires, mines carb but i still got alot of EFI wires due to the last owner.

You have to take out your inner fender covers from the wheel well. That way you have access to the area you will be putting everything.

AND...yes it is a pain in the a$$ if you have to change something.

...and I would too It sucks but it's not often you have to swap out the solenoid, fix the vacuum tree, or tend to wires that are hidden. I had to track down a vacuum leak earlier in the year and it was a pain to trace all the hidden vacuum hoses, but it was totally worth it vs. having it all sitting in the engine bay. It only took about 20 minutes to take the fenderwell off and put it back, and of course sitting/laying on the ground to search tubing is more annoying than standing above the car. But what can ya do. It's not every day maintenance so I don't worry about it. Now that I've said that, it's the kiss of death...

It helps if you remove the fender but you don't have to remove the fender, I didn't.

If you think about it when was the last time you replaced your solenoid/starter relay?
What you’re looking at in that pic is the original starter relay and its 17 yrs old.
My thought was if once every 17 +yrs I have to jack up the car, pull the wheel, take loose a few screws and pop out the splash shield (time probably 15-20 mins) to replace the solenoid/starter relay than it's work every minute of my time versus looking at it where it was stuck on the side of the strut tower.

I'm not saying it right or wrong, just so happens it works for me.

IMO, the easiest way to hide your wires and vacuum lines is to remove the fenders. I am still waiting for someone to get freaky and run the 10-pin connecters from the transmission tunnel like Paul and I did (unless I missed anyone). Of course I just followed his lead...
