Hello, I am going to be putting hood pins on my 89 mustang lx and I was hoping someone could post photos of where they mounted them on the crossmember and which brand they used.
Just use the stock rubber mount pins location on the crossmember and replace them with the hood pin.... Pretty much done, Mark them up with White out, and then close the hood, It will make the mark for you on the underside of the hood. Then drill away! hahahha
I like leaving the rubber stops in place and mounting the pins just to the inside of them. Most, if not all, foxes have a couple of holes already drilled in the core support that can be used.
You could leave the rubber on, But when usuing an aftermarket fiberglass hood-Your gonna have enough challeneges trying to get the bitch to line up, that is why-I took them off. Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to many adjustments, Found without them-It was easier and I had a cervini's hood-Which is an easier one to line up.
