So, is timing now your only idle control other than a hole in the tb or the set screw? And this holds a better idle than an IAC? You must have had some serious problems to get rid of you IAC.
What sucks is I just bought a new iac. Basically I went with a return style fuel system and an nos nozzle kit. I had it installed and they basically cleaned up alot of things under my hood while they were at it. They said I had no need for the iac and its currently unplugged, just looking to remove it all together. It idles fine though on a cold start it sometimes dies. I really haven't noticed anything too different.
