I am thinking about getting a set of black led taillights and a black led 3rd brake light. Thing is I really want to see them on some cars before I invest the cash. Here are some pics of the style I am thinking about. All pictures and opinions would be great!

You can get LED replacement bulbs.. I think they might look good with the LED 3rd brake light..

Don't be mean... LOL! I just want to do something a little different than the stockers... All the altezza style lights out there look terrible and ricey and everyone has smoked/ tinted lenses or blackouts. I was even thinking of doing smoked lenses on these to tone them down a touch...

Just some ideas which is exactly why I was hoping I could find some pictures of other stangs with these on them. Thanks

These are pretty new so its gonna be hard to find pics of it on a car. To each his own I say. Personally I don't feel those lights flow with the lines of the Stang (anything that sticks out like a sore thumb). If you tinted them though that may very well do the trick.

Edit: Does the reverse light housing actually stick out from the rest of the light panel? Like a cup sticking out or something? They have them in all red which might work better too. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-0...tegoryZ33716QQihZ010QQitemZ200117653022QQrdZ1

Yeah... I have seen them in red, and clear also. Don't really like the red at all... The clear are ok but I think the black will look best with Mineral Grey, especially if I tint them. Also I am planning on putting black projector led headlights on the front. Ill add a pic of them below.

Oh, and the reverse light question... I am not sure but I think its just inside of the housing.. just a piece around the bulb to separate it or something. I am going to get an led replacement for the reverse bulb if i get these tails.

What sig?... lol

Oh and BTW.. Its not just to be "different", I like the look of led taillights. These just happen to be the only ones out there that I like. Every one likes to chime in and throw out their 2 cents of whether or not they do or don't like them but I'm looking for other suggestions... If you cant offer an alternative besides smoked stockers then keep the opinion to yourself. Thanks!

I usually believe that its your ride so put on it what you want but i have to say this time you need an intervention...please give me your parents phone # so i can tell them YOU ARE HIGH ON CRACK!

Seriously they don't flow at all with the style of the car and the tri bar rear tails is a tradition.

Honestly, the stock Mustang taillights are the best looking like period!! Polish them up and wax them and they sparkle like jewels. I don't understand why people ditch them for tacky aftermarket lights to be "different". Different doesn't always look good.

The thing with those headlights and taillights are they are way too busy and it causes your eye to be drawn to them. When the eye is fixated on one object, it doesn't see the overall picture. Anytime someone looks at your car all they will see are the headlights or taillights.

Even the stock 01-04 headlights look the best.

Subtle mods that work together > single flashy mods

I like that 3rd brake light, but don't care for the headlights or taillights.
Don't listen to people who say you're dumb for getting them though, if that's what you think would look nice, then go for it! If you don't like them, you could always turn around and sell them and get something else.
Good luck

The best input all day... I should have thought twice about asking for people to offer opinions on here. I've seen enough people get bashed for stuff like this before LOL! However, your suggested approach is the same as I took with my old truck and some people said stuff I wanted to do was stupid so I tried it anyway and half of them ended giving me props on stuff later. Although there were a couple things that went right back on eBay after I tried them out too. So well see.

I think maybe no one has really given them much of a shot though if there arent any pictures out there... Maybe Ill give em a try... Can always sell them if it turns out horrible.
