so i recently purchased an 89 GT convert and have a few minor issues with things in the interior.

First the light on the mirror stay on all the time and don't turn off, was thinking maybe it could be the door switch thats stuck? or something else?

Second my trunk release button dose not work i have to open it with the key, but the gas door button works fine. anyone know what they could be ?

Ok i figured out the trunk now the only thing that I'm have a problem with still is the lights on the mirror that stay on i checked the door switches and they seem fine. does anyone else know what it could be ?

You know there is a switch on the bottom of the mirror to turn it off right?

I guess but on my mirror when i switch it to one side the light stays on and then when i switch it to the other side its still stays on so it on all the time and never shuts off what i actually do it put the switch in the middle so that the light are off. ( i have to play with it a little so that it stays in the middle)

The quick fix is to unplug connection on the back of the mirror. It might be under the trim. Could be a bad switch on one side since one switch works and the other dont

ya thats what i was thinking of doing because i don't think its the door switch seeing that when that key is in the ignition and the door is open it still makes the noise to alert your that the keys are still in the ignition.
