Anyone know of someone selling them? I am just looking to stay under $1k and dont really want to splurge the extra $400+ if I can save on a good set of used ones.
You are aware of the problems with these heads. They seem to be pulling the heli-coils out where the rocker arm stands bolt. And from what I have read the springs and valves are not the greatest either. Most engine builders say buy them bare and build them to your needs. But you still have the heli-coil problem to deal with, with high lift cams. And I havent seen any for sale listed on any of the sites. I myself plan on spending the money having my cast CJ heads ported and polished. They will be close to the edel's when done right. Someday blue thunder will have there's out. They are suppose to be better out of the box then anything you can do to the edel's. Time will tell I guess.
