Hey Guys. I'm replacing my 140,000 miles stock bottom end, still running strong but getting A TON OF BLOW BY AND OIL LEAKS. I recently put down 378hp/396tq on a mustang dyno. Running 14.6 psi through a set of edelbrock heads, edelbroc intake, and a vortec s trim.

I recently purchased a 331 stroker motor with a scat crank and probe pistons, and was planing on running the same head's intake exhaust and supercharger.

I lowered the compresion ration with some .094 Cometic Gaskets.

I'm Curious what you guys think I'll be puting down power wise.

Thanks!

Here is actualy a very informative artice on my car-->

On that same dyno, I would think you could push around ~ 430 RWHP, same tune.

Of course, many have gotten much more than that, but I am basing that off your old numbers.

.094" is an awfully thick gasket.

Also, I would strongly look into an aftermarket block.

Good Luck. :)

Thanks for the Reply. I went with the thicker gaskets to help lower my compression below 9:1. I'm looking to run more boost, possibly with Methanol injection. My goal is to have around 500 rwhp.

How much power can these blocks take with an tune.

Well I ended up putting down 467 RWHP and 447 TQ. With a much more conservative tune! only 4 degrees of timing. and 1/2 degree of boost retard. Also running the methanol injection activated at 4psi. We were going for safety.
