How is the frame of a 26 and 27 different??



Those are the dimensions ... the 10 and 9 are mag capacity which are obviously different.

Quality yes Price no. Glocks are cheap but there is a reason for that.

I didn't mention the frame did I?? There is much more to to the lower section of a gun than just the frame.

Trigger resest and the functionings of all the moving parts are based upon the caliber that the gun is designed for due to recoil/trigger reset being controlled by the expulsion of the gas created after a round is fired.
A 9mm creates less gas pressure than that of a .40 and the guns are designed as such. Because they have to be. The parts springs/trigger assemblies are made to seperate specifications!!!
Don't you think if it were safe to just switch things around like this Glock would advertise as much???

If you would like to continue this practice that is fine but please don't suggest it to others. It can be done sure and it may never go kaboom and for you i hope it never does.
But I would hate for some folks to try this unsafe practice and then to post later about how they have spent the pst two days in surgery having polymer fragments removed from their hand and even possibly their face.

Ummm... a hollow point wasn't designed for the "opening up" result when it hits a target. Its hollow up front to put more weight on the back of the cartridge, to help improve accuracy. Strictly a characteristic of target shooting ammunition.

I didnt even see that picture listed above! Thats unreal!

Also, dont be "that guy" who insists on pulling aside his or her jacket and showing off that he's carrying. It gives people like myself with an LTC license a bad name. Be subtle about it and use it only if necessary. I frequent the range and I cannot stand people who walk in with it strapped to their hip when they walk in, and show you that they are carrying. Be discreet about it and always be safe.

Here is my .02

Revolver: Can feed and fire the majority and minority of available off the shelf ammo.
In case of a misfire pull the trigger to cycle another round.
Not as many moving parts that are likely to break.
Only holds 5 to 7 rounds.
Bulkier than semiautos

Semiauto: Holds double the capacity of a revolver. In case of a misfire rack slide and clear cartridge, can you do that under extreme pressure (ie saving your azz). Thinner profile than revolvers.

I had a CC permit for 5 years: carried a .45 S&W, .44Mag S&W, .38, .357, .357Sig, .40

Me personally, I prefer a revolver.......esp the Rugers and S&W's

Both of these comments are innaccurate!

As for the term "COP KILLER BULLET" is is one hundred percent a media term that is used WAY TO OFTEN. The media dubbed The Winchester Black Talon round the cop killer bullet.



It's called the Black Talon for Obvious reasons. The bullet itself is actually black. The black is a Teflon Lubricant. This teflon lubricant is where the idea of a "COP KILLER" bullet came in. Someone (can't tell you who but someone with no lack of true information about the round or a biased against firearms, maybe both) thought that the teflon lubricant made these bullets capable of penetrating Kevlar Vests (do you really think Winchester would create a product that could do this and market it to the general public???). Which at the time was possible but other non lubricated rounds could aswell. We were still using Kevlar that in todays day of Body Armor wouldn't even classify as Level I aromor. My vest that is ahown above is a Level III and would have no problems stopping the Black Talon and pretty much all conventional handgun rounds.
As for the Talon Part of the name well you can see they talons that are created once the round mushrooms.

As for the Black Talon it is hands down the greatest personal defense round of all time! But thanks to the biased media and their whole cop killer idea Winchester changed their design and name. They are now marketed as SXT rounds. They are good rounds but not quite the same.


Now onto Hollow Points. Hollow points are not made for accuracy or target practice. Hollow points were created as a defense round. They are designed to mushroom out (as seen in pictures above) so that they stay in the target and cause the most internal damage as possible.
The weight in the rear can cause the round to be more accurate but that also depends on other characteristics of the riflining of the barrel and what type of recoil system is used in the firearm.
