Just wondering if there's any problems with the 08 mustangs, its probably going to be an automatic, I prefer 5spd but for some reasons I just can't find a used 5spd mustang, anyways just want to know if there's any problems with the tranny, I think its a new 5spd tranny, I know the auto on my mustang was good(02 mustang).
Thanks guys, oh yeah whats the average 1/4 mile times with an automatic 08 gt ?

Average 1/4 mile times for a stock 05-09 GT automatic are in the high 13's at about 99-101 mph (I'm currently running 12.30's @ 111+ with my lightly modded '07 GT automatic). No problems with these cars or their transmissions - manual or automatic - and they are easily modded to go much, much faster.

I just bought a new leftover 08 GT. Look for the sticker on the valve cover that says AB which is the engine with the newer head/spark plug design. Even though mine is an 08, unfortunately I still have the AA or older design/spark plug problem. Also, if you want 4 gauges instead of just 2 (gas gauge and water temp), you will need the interior upgrade option. My 2 cents. Good Luck!

2008 prices

FYI new 08 GT's with a stick are 22,400 in Daytona Florida. Auto is 1000.00 more. I bought an 08 a few days ago with leather, stick, 3.55, shaker 500....for 25.500 including taxes, tag, registration......Dont pay too much for a used 08!!

I know, the used one are about 21000$ with the california package, thats with around 13000km on it. New ones are around 28000$ and around 26500$ for a 2008 new.
Whats the spark plug/head problem your talking about ?

You know with the way the economy is you could almost buy a new mustang gt for the price of a new one. After a $4000 trade in I bought my new 08GT for a little over $16000. The dealership gave me leather interior, the shaker 500, and satellite radio all for free. Just take a look at the new cars you might be surprised what type of deal you get.
