Has nothing to do with horsepower, either

It's electrochromatic (auto-dimming), with compass and outside temperature display (when I took the picture, the temperature probe was not connected yet).

Just let me know if you need any help installing yours, Ed. stick: just kidding, I know you won't copy everything I do, like HID's... hehe).

It's a Donnelly 36400. I bought it on eBay for about $180. Click here.

Awesome, thanks!

That's a pretty cool gadget, I like the idea of having a compass on hand and a temperature guage similar to my Expedition.

How long did it take you to install? I think I'm going to add this to my list of winter mods.

BTW - I was taking a look at your HID's for sale, and considering that as well ... another cool thing to do.

Contrary to the 1 hour estimate in the documentation, I spent a good chunk of my afternoon working on it. Mounting the mirror and running the wires inside the car is trivial, what took some extra effort was getting the temperature wire gracefully into the engine compartment, and finding a suitable power wire near the fuse box. I pushed the temperature wire through the rubber grommet in the firewall, but that took some effort because it's sealed pretty well with the factory wiring harness going through it. For power I ended up tapping the feed for the traction control switch.

Actually Ben had them first!!! And we didn't copy you because our HID's are the nice ones!! Now I can't speak for Ed about copying your mirror but, my car tells me the temp and mirror dims already and I can always tell what direction I am heading(right Jerry)
