My buddy picked this up in N.C. for cheap, its got some stuff, AEM CAI, turbo XS BOV, boost controller, MSD, exhaust that i made this weekend (sounds deep and quiet), mopar short throw, eibach springs, and other ****. Its got about 50,000 miles on it.

Hes going to Iraq in a few months for 7 months, when he gets back (safely i hope) hes buying a Z06 vette and letting me take over payments on the SRT-4, $225 a month.

Im gonna use it to drive to work everyday instead of using my truck in the summer to save on gas (about 50 miles one way).

What do ya think, i'm very impressed with its speed, and yes its very fast (for a DD). :

in your sig you have the BEST car, and in the post you have, well...a ricer. If the neon is "very fast" i wonder what your explaination for your BB fox would be, i'm gonna take a shot in the dark and say "Stupid Wet Your Pants And Pull Wheelies At 90mph Fast.." i wanna ride in it..(the fox of coarse)

it can't get enough traction to pull wheelies at 90mph lol..... Im just saying from a DD perspective, its fast. And thats what i'll use it as, a DD. The stang is my weekend fun, piss you pants, retardedly fast car show car. The SRT will get me to work and back saving me gas money to use in the stang I wouldn't call it rice though, minus the graphics, its pretty nice and drives like its on rails on corners. Im not saying screw mustangs, i just have respect for nice fast cars.

Y'know, you can't drive a BBF fox every day of the week, and not everything with 4 cylinders is "rice". I like SRT-4s (my DD is a 97 Peon Sport). Ditch the stickers and you're set.

SRT-4's are fast and they do beat plenty of mustangs at the local track on fridays,

But I'm not carzy about the ricer decals. get rid of the decals and gain some respect from the domestics.

Also I hope it doesn't have a loud mouth tip on the back.

I made the exhaust for it over the weekend, its got dual 3" rolled tips out the back like stock, and its deep and quiet, no fart pipe sound at all. And yes minus the decals i think it will be a good DD.

I happen to really like srt-4s jus not some of their teenager owners. That car is really fast for a cheap four banger neon. I think its the ultimate daily driver or commuter. 4 cyl gas mileage and turbo power. My work had one on the used lot and i was really impressed with the acceration. The handling and braking is pretty phenomenal too. It sounds pretty neat with the stock popping exhaust too. The car above though, like others have stated has ugly stickers.

those are neat little cars, a buddy of mine had one with a stage 2 w/toys and he was running 12.8@110 with DR's. He put a 75shot of spray on it and was pretty close to the 11's but couldn't get the tune right cat melted under the heat of everything so he gutted it and done other things and never took it back to the track before he sold it.

I own an 04 (stock), the 03's do not have limited slip, something to watch out for. Not exactly the cheapest dd getting 18mpg city/25hwy on premium and in an article I saw they rated it as 3rd most expensive car to insure (behind evo & something else) which i am inclined to believe. Fun car, second fastest dodge car for the year behind the viper. WOW ive never run into some punk a$$ in a stang...lol, those stang drivers are always the coolest! You would need some dedicated snows for cleveland. check streetfire for the vid srt vs gt500, yeah the neon name was left off for a reason.

yes that srt4 was fast but, that gt500 was a vert, they weigh like 3900 lbs dry weight!!! add driver and gas and your looking at 4300 lbs easy. Not doggin the srt, it was insanely quick, just thought I'd point that out

FYI, last night when my buddy and i were in line to get some Taco Bell in the SRT-4, a 4.6L stang with a punk ass teenager driving decided to peg the rev limiter when going past us in the drivethu line. We did nothing to antagonize it either, I just shook my head in disappointment.
