I'm relocating from the LA area to Upper Marlboro, MD in a few weeks. I'm hoping to join a local mustang club. Are there any guys from Maryland around? If so, send me some information. Thanks!

http://www.northernvirginiamustangclub.com/ is one I know of. That's in Va but not too far from MD. There are Mustang cruise nights that exist in Silver Spring, Bethesda which isn't that far away from you as well.

Thanks 66MoneyPit. I'm going to check that site out.

Silver...yes this is the same Regie. The car looks great. I plan to take some photos as soon as I finish the interior. There are a few photos posted at www.simmonsproperties.net/mustang.

Who say's I won't be using my Cali plates?!?! Those plates have been on the car since...well....1965 and I don't plan on taking them off. Thanks for the interest.

I live about 15 mins away from Upper Marlboro. If you go onto www.mustangclubofMD.com they have information on cruises and events. There is also a huge car show / crusin hotrod weekend coming up in a few weeks down in Ocean City, Marlyand (Boardwalk and beach town) which happens every year and I believe the mustang club will meet up. So Welcome to Maryland and get ready to eat some Blue crabs with tons of Old Bay.

That would be pretty cool, take a month or so off and just travel around to the different mustang cruises across the country. Drive from coast to coast and take them in. Hey simm, maybe you could do that during your move.

Are you gonna drive that bad boy across country?

Everyone needs to do this at least once. I picked up a '74 Porsche several years back in California and drove to East Georgia in 3 days. First day out cover 1100 miles.

What a ton of fun!

I did this last summer in my 351W'ed 66 coupe. Hawaii(to California) to Florida to Ohio. 8000 miles. Tell you what, 5th gear with 3.50s got me about 18 mpg on the highway. Next time I'll run 3.00 gears. have fun!
