Losing Coolant

Over the past few months I have noticed that almost every time I drive the car I have to fill the radiator, drive it about once a week. I usually have to fill up about a 1/3 of the radiator. No puddles, no evidence of leaks, no squealing of belt, new upper and lower hoses, no white smoke, car runs at 180 all day long.

Any ideas?

run a compression check, i am betting that you probably have a bad head gasket, or one that is going bad.

Compression check came out all 8 between 130 and 138.

rent a coolant leak detector kit. see if the system holds 16# for at least 30 minutes and check the cap

I assume no

• coolant in the oil
  
• oil in the coolant
• white smoke
• whitewashed plugs

the coolant is either leaking or burning out somewhere

Negative on all 4 of those.
Renting the leak detector is my next stop.
