heh.... i once had a problem with my brothers car... he had wheel locks and left the key at home (1hr away) so i took the biggest size impact socket and pounded it onto the lock and used my impact wrench. 10 seconds later it was off :)

I lost mine. Got a new key from McGard. Lost it again. Had the keyed lugnuts removed by Sears Automotive. I will never have keyed lug nuts again. The only person they ever prevented from removing the tires was me...

16mm 6point deepwell took off my wheel locks. bang on with a hammer and remove...or if your desperate you could line up a socket of the same size and tack weld it there then once the nut is off use a zip wheel to remove it

Thats how Ive done it many times.

The only effective wheel lock I've seen is the inverted McGaurd that they don't make anymore. Even the professional lock removel kits won't get them off.

There's not enough material to do the weld trick, and you can't pound a socket over it or it'll just fold on itself and be even harder to get off.

I almost cried when they stopped making them about 8 years ago and went to the generic style they have now.

But you'll really never know if it prevented anyone else from removing the wheels if you still have them right? :D

Oh, and another thing... I took my car to the Ford dealer and they brought out a master McGard kit. Then they tried various keys until they found the one that fit. They gave me the code number for it, I ordered it from McGard for $25, and a while later, as I said, lost it again...
