Would a Ford dealer be able to get me a new key lug for my rims,if I give them my vin # ?

not with vin number
If you want the key off now, take a 12 point socket that barely wont fit over the lug. Beat it on and use ratchet to remove. works great

some guys have said they went down to the local tire shop (where the shop had a selection of keys, since owners never give the shop the keys for the particular wheels). the guys there got the lugs off.

I concur...I did that before...The dealer will most likely not have the key simply because every one is slightly different...much cheaper for you to take a Craftsman socket and beat the hell out of it and than take it to Sears and get a new one rather than paying someone like the dealer or a tire shop to take them off...

Guys the freakin thing is round!!! A socket wont do it,maybe vice grips

Vise grips? No way. You have a better chance of winning the lottery than breaking torque with a vice grip.

If you have the factory locking lug nut then a local Ford dealer should be able to remove your lug nut for you for next to no $. I know we have a master set of the keys here from McGard for all of the locking lug nuts that have been used.

Dude there are sockets that have 12 points instead of the usual 6...use the 12 point one and it will fit...trust me...

ya that is a common way to jack rims with locks just smash a 12-point socket over it with a hammer and zip it off.

Yeah it should work that way. If not a tire shop will do it. It shouldn't cost you all that much, it takes them less than 5 minutes to do all four if they're good...Like me
