If you had traction control then, yes.

Even a yugo can take you.

TRACTION CONTROL IS FOR RAINY DAYS / SNOW AND NOT RACING. =P

An s2000 totally WALKED me at HRP one night (when my car was stock)

I ran a 14.96 vs his 12.61.

He told me he was stock while we were waiting to stage

Hmmm TC could have had somthing to do with it, but I think that he had some $$$ under the hood...remember not every car you race is stock LOL, so if you get beat by a beatle dont feel bad, because he must have had alot of mods.Anyways I dont think TC affects it alot, because with TC on and at a roll I ran 75 through a area thats VERY close to 1/8 mile( I ran my dads 00 V6 through the 1/4 and got like a 69 1/8 and when I went across that same bridge, I got 69-72 or so depending on the area and that on the speedo so thats really around 66-69) anyways just an example...not a fact LOL, and I know that TC hurts you but I am not sure how much...especially at a stop.

S2000's are slow. I raced one in my old 2000 GT auto and beat it by 2-3 cars lenghts. All I had done was Flowmasters and K&N. He obviously had more than exhaust done. Once the traction control kicks in, your car doesn't get fuel.

No way that car was stock.. I saw a supercharged S2000 running 13.7... the driver could have been bad but not bad enough to warrant a whole 1.09 off the 1/4 mile time.

Yea, you definately should've had the TC off. Makes a big difference. I drove a friend of mine's who used to have a S2000 and it was quick car, but not a fast one. They handle good but your stang should whip his butt.

He might have been able to run a 13.6 stock, but no way he'd be in the 12s.

I beat an S2000 last Friday by 1 car length... but I started at a 1-1/2 car length disadvantage.

Do you have an auto?

The guy I raced wasn't a bad driver, I was just a better driver.

An s2000 should be able to beat or definitely keep up with any 99+ GT that's close to stock.

are we talking from a dig or from a roll? The S2000 makes ALL it's power up top and nothing down low. From a dig it should be no problem for the stang.

Stock those '04 s2000's do a 1/4 in like 14 or so. But they are supposed to be really hard to get goin that quick because the torque in only like 161lb and 240hp. Grant they weigh 2850, so if you get beat by one they driver is really good....I bet you have to wrap that lil hamster up to just below the point of death before you take off to get 13.7.

Friend of mine that has a 2002 S2000, CAI and that's all, ran a 13.8 @ 101 w/ a 1.8 60' time. There's not many stangs that can run that w/ just intake.

not that hard to beat with stock enigine and suspension. just toss on some drag radials . I doubt that would help an s2000 at all.

I'm not talking about modded stangs...

s2000's are pretty much tuned out from the factory, exhaust, intake, VAFC.. things like that don't really add much hp/tq to those cars, FI is the only really thing worth it..

You're right, because stangs can run 13.8 stock -- without intake..
