Damn some of you jokers are as bad or worse then the idiots I see on the import boards claiming to smoke Mustangs in their stock Civic SI's.. So much misinformation and ingorance.. A Vorteched S2000 would ream a stock GT..

The original post said nothing about a "Vorteched" S2000. As far as I know the S2000 doesn't come stock with a blower. So making that comparison is stupid in my opinion. And I take offense to your comment that we are like the "idiots on the import boards". I'm a 45 year old man and last week my '98 GT beat an S2000 (look for my post in the lounge). I don't lie like some pimply faced kid in a Civic. :chair:

If you'd read further down the thread sir, you'll see a very confused poster stating that a Vorteched S2000 would be even with a stock GT.. That is the BS I was pointing out.

Point is a S2000 is difficult to launch and get going from a dig, however from a roll they are pretty damn tough and no stock GT is going to smoke a stock S2000 from a roll. From a dig the GT will win more than it loses, however I've seen stock S2000's run low 14's and high 13's.. Guess what, just like a stock GT.. I've also seen S2000's run 15's, but I've seen GT's do the same..

I'm no shabby driver, I'm able to get my mostly stock Mach into the low 13's.. But a S2000 cleaned my clock from a roll with my stock 02 GT..

If you did get a chance to read my post that I linked to, you would see that I raced him from an approximate 20mph roll.... I know I was at lower RPMs in second gear when we took off. I don't think he was shifting prematuring either cause that was the only time I could hear his engine is when right before he shifted it sounded like the engine was going to explode. :D Honestly, I was surprised I beat him and it was no shaby race but in my post I never say I smoked him, instead I slowly crept up on him and then inched passed him. But a win is a win...

LOL .... :rlaugh: This is funny. How many people can we get to say the same thing?

Bottomline: stock vs stock it's a driver's race

We can all come up with low14 sec stories for either cars but, in the end the cars are very close.
From a dig ... who wins?
From a roll ... who wins?

Depends on a lot of things but either outcome shouldn't be surprising. :D

So you had one S2000 beat your stock GT from a roll one time? Am I understanding you correctly? This automatically means an S2000 is faster from a roll than a GT? That's just not the case.

In my group of "car buddies" like I said earlier there are 3 S2000's. 2 are stock, one has full exhaust (louder than my Mustang with Prochamber and 40s!) and various mods. This race has been done more times than I can count, dig... roll from all various speeds numerous times, more times than I care to admit. The modded S2000 BARELY edges out the another buddies stock '03 GT (CAI, mufflers) in the group from a roll and loses consistenly from a dig. All of the bolt on GTs RAPE the modded S2000 in ANY situation, the stock GT beats the 2 stock S2000's pretty hard, even from a roll. In my experience the S2000's just aren't that much of a threat.
