I just installed a new H/U to replace my Mach 460 H/U in 2000 GT. I got the wiring harnesses to hook everything up without cutting and splicing. My problrm is everytime I turn on the stereo I get a loud pop through the speakers. Any suggestions on how to remedy this?

Yes, you need to install a voltage regulator on the remote turn-on line going to the amps. The factory Mach amps use a 5v trigger signal where aftermarket pieces use 12v. The part will reduce the voltage appropriately. It is Radio Shack part #7805 or 276-1770. It costs less than $2.
