loud popping???

well it stared a day after i readjusted my rockers this weekend.When I start my car and give it gas and take off i hear this load popping coming from what i think is the exhaust.It will do it for like the first couple mins and then it will just go away.What could be causing this problem?

Could be poorly machined valve guides. When they get some oil in there, it frees them up. Just a thought.
