I'd forge the bottom end and add meth to keep everything safe.

I'd also install a new water pump, new coolant and T-stat and a larger radiator such as a Steeda, Fluidyne..etc. My Cobra runs very cool with the big radiator. Keeps the temps dow n much more than the stock one.

SVT32 you a believer in Meth aint you? Oniestly i have seen it on one supercharged car and it worked very well. I To agree with the Meth it keeps things nice and cool and helps prevent some seroius complications possibly down the road.

If you honestly dont intend to ever push the engine past 600rhwp a forged crank is not needed. You can save a little cash in this area by re-using your stock cast crank. there are plenty of people pushing cast iron cranks over the 550 rwhp mark and they live just fine. in fact foxlake who is very well respected (I think everyone can agree) rates there bottom end short block at 700hp and it comes with a cast iron gt crank in it. There is a guy on modularfords that was pushing over 500 to the wheels when detonation killed one of his pistons witch in tern broke a few of his manley rods (when was the last time you saw a broken manely rod?) and the cast iron crank still held up. My point here is that for that power level a cobra crank isnt really needed.

I would look into buying some trick flow heads over ported stock pi casting also.

Just rods and pistons will be fine. The stock crank will hold up way into the 600hp range. You will have to have it rebalanced to match the weight of the new rods and pistons though.

On a side note, don't think that there's any way in hell you're going to see 515rwhp out of a 2.1L Kenne Bell with just the mods you mentioned. Not on pump gas anyway. You'll top about at about 450-475 max....and even that's pushing it.

I was also thinking that 515 was an overestimate. It'll still make gnarly power but KB likes to exagerate(sp?) poewr levels. +2 on the crank, just get yours machined and invest in some good rods/pistons. There are many other things that you could also get like the rad, meth, water pump and so on but just make sure whatever you do you get a real good tune One more thing......WELCOME HOME! If its your first time then let me tell you it feels awesome once you touch down and hear welcome home from the flight crew.
