Anyone ever tackle this?

I bought the spring from LRS and their how-to vid claims it can be done without pulling the fender off. Can it be done just by pulling the wheel and liner?

I bought the spring, just need to get a bit for my air grinder.

I did years ago.
I definitely did not pull the fender.

I didn't use theirs, I used one (I think it's still white on my car) from one of mustangs my brother wrecked.

Can't remember exactly how I did it, but I know it wasn't real hard.

Ok, I've got an air powered die grinder, just need an appropriate attachment for grinding the rivet off. I may tackle this next week after I get back from my trip to San Fran this weekend

If you are using a 1/4 shank die grinder, this is the tool you want...

See https://drillsandcutters.com/sa5-1-2-x-1-cylindrical-carbide-burr-1-4-shank/ cost is $14.38 + shipping.

Be advised that the double cut tools do just that; they cut away double the amount of material. They also tend to chatter, so hold on tightly when you use one in a die grinder.
I wore out the single cut high speed steel cutter I had; it was easier to use and didn't chatter. It didn't help that it got clogged up with aluminum from filing some long forgotten project...

Got the bit, but can't seem to locate my die grinder now. Will need to search around a tad, but getting set to tackle this as soon as I can find it
