Do i REALLY have to have camber/cast plates if i wanted to drop my car (just for looks) by either cutting the stock springs 1 inch or getting lowering springs for 1.5-2 inches? I read on this one site that if i'm going to lower it just for looks than i dont need the camber caster plates....i am getting new shocks and struts anyway, so i figure, i should lower it while i do this....the site said that if i'm getting new shocks and struts its best to get new springs cause its a package deal, so i'd prolly get shocks, struts and new springs....but i dont wanna drop 200$ on camber/caster plates if i dont have to......so i guess my question is, is it necissary? what will be effected if i dont? etc etc...thanks guys

some people dont ever need them when they drop their cars. most people do though. if you dont put caster camber plates on you will wear your tires out extremely fast....like a couple thousand miles. if i were you, i would just get them to be on the safe side. you could always buy them and get a shop to try to get a proper alignment on it and if they cant do it then throw the c/c plates on there....and if you dont need them send them back.

i have lowered my car 1.5-2" on eibach pro-kit springs... I do not have CC plates, but my stock plates are adjusted as far as possible... CC plates WOULD help if I wanted to adjust it even further... which wouldnt be a bad idea since when I turn the wheel tends to kinda flop over...

you'll need offset rack bushings when you lower the car also and you might want to look into a bump-steer kit. just got done lowering my car and putting c/c plates on it. well i drove it down the street and noticed the steering felt weird, so i asked around and they told me offset rack bushings should help. they restore the proper steering geometry.

Look at Maximum Motorsports web site. They say you don't need offset rack bushings. I would tend to listen to them, they might know a thing or two.

ya, you dont NEED them, but you should probably get them. my car drive's fine without them, but it's more prone to the whole bump-steer ordeal. i figured i might as well take the extra step and make sure i dont have to do it later on.
