I would not put anything very viscous in a T5, but that is just me. Note that I have no clue how thick the Lucas stuff is, but I have an idea.........

Good luck.

There was a test on the "bob is the oil guy" website where they added the Lucas gear oil additive to some brand of gear oil, then ran it before and after in a clear display rig where you could see the gears turning and it turned the gear oil into a foamy milkshake like mixture.

I would add anything Lucas to my list of snake oil products.

Do not ever use any Lucas products. They flat out suck. Why do we all think they are so good? Because they advertise alot. Luscas oil treatments cause the oil in the crakcase to foam. Do a google on it. Want good stuff? Use Mobil 1 Synthetic. If it's good enough to put into Ferrari's and Vette's it's good enough for a Mustang.

why would you put oil stabilizer into hydraulic fluid?

not to pick on you or anything foxfan, but why do you wanna add anything to your transmission? it won't free up horsepower, make your car faster or perform better in any way. just think a little bit about the questions you ask, it'll save you a lot of time, money, and legwork in the real world

Safe? Many, including myself, would say no. Effective? A resounding NO. I put Royal Purple in my T5 and it was twice as expensive with absolutely zero benefit. No better than cheap Dextron/Mercon.

Lucas is for engine and/or gear oil. Even then it tends to actually prevent the oil from "climbing". Funny how its the opposite of what Lucas says it does....

If you want to run something synthetic, Redline D4 is what I run. Amsoi, RP and M1 all have quality synthetics. It can help with shifts while the motor is cold, if you live in a cold climate.

Good luck.
