I am about to buy an X-pipe for my Stang and just read about the M.I.L kit needed to stop the check engine light from coming on due to the deletion of the cats. Do I definitely need the kit for my 03? I am not used to the mod motors and never had to do this with my 88(obviously).

Thanks for the help all,

Chris

yes you will need it ..but its only used to tell the computer that Cats are working fine to turn off light. and used when you go for emissions so they hook up OBD2 and yo will not fail.. as long as they dont look under the car

Yes you have to have mil's these days. I have heard that the tuners won't allow you to turn them off anymore. Used to you could just buy a Diablo tuner to turn them off with...

I found em online for around $35 bucks actually. Screw messing with the light, I'll do it up right. I live in Florida too, that means I don't need cats or any special emissions garbage, we did away with that haha

Thanks guys. Can't wait to liven her up a little with some open pipes!

Well worth the money. I had to keep shutting the light off with my Diablo every 2-3 days and that got rather annoying. Finally got under the car, checked the connections on the MILs, hooked em back up and the car hasn't thrown a code since
