mac c/c plate problem

i got tired of my mac c/c plates sitting around so i went to install them today.if you use any of the 3 washers to space the strut down for clearance then the strut is too short to come through the top of the plate bushing.i managed to get one washer on and get the strut nut started.i'm running kyb gr-2s with eibach pro springs.anybody else have this problem?

No way, a problem with a MAC product, you have to be kidding, unlreal...

Try using one washer/spacer under the C/C plate mount and one on top.

i got the spacer on with one washer but it's a real tight fit.the washers have to go on after the spacer under the plate.i don't know if it's because of the plates or the struts.i'm thinking the struts because the struts worked fine with the stock mounting setup.

I have the QA1 C/C plates, I guess they are a lot different.

I'll assume it's a problem with the mac plates, since the rest of their stuff is crap.

Sell those on ebay.
Get the Kenny Browns, they are decent priced, and have a fixed full positive caster setting, so the strut can never slide foward, only left to right.
Thus your car can never follow a rut in the road again.

Around 150 or so.
They aren't the prettiest to look at, but they are very functional.

I didn't have any concerns when mine were installed. I've got stock springs and Koni reds. My brother-in-law's GT has the Mac c/c plates, KYB adjustables, and Steeda sport springs and his install was fine as well. Dumb question, you're removing the big insulator, aren't you?

Then get the Kenny browns, i've had the BBK's (not that you were going to get them, but stay away from them) and they suck too.

Having full fixed positive caster is the best if you drive the car alot, because it can never move.
My car rides extremely rough, and the alignment wasn't lasting long before.

ss93,i removed the insulator.maybe it's because i'm using the gr2s.maybe there's a difference between the kyb adjustable agx and the gr2s.

Glad I found this thread!!! I am currently in the market for some CC plates. I got a rut finder like you wont believe. Are there any others out there worth a *#@$ ???? Ya'll say Kenny Brown is good...
