Hi guys,

I have a 2003 mustang GT and recently purchased a used MAC CAI. The question I have is when I assembled the CAI and installed it I got everything hooked up and working fine but there is a hole open on the bottom.

It's a small hole with a rubber grommet and from what I can see from searches on the internet it's for an air temp sensor.

Now here's the problem. I don't have one of those to go in the grommet and the only place it ever mentions the air temp sensor is on installs for 94-98's.

Should I have something that goes in that hole and if not should it be covered?

Yeah, I noticed that too. On my 99 it had the sensor for the hole.
I was going to put the same CAI on my 04 and saw there was no sensor.
I got tired of the fender well filter. PITA. That CAI is still in my garage unused.
I am thinking about cutting it so I can have the filter on the inside. But I would
just put a plug in that hole.

your supposed to have a little aluminum plug that goes in place of it but you might not have gotten it... i believe 99-00 cars have the IAT seperate and 01-04 cars have it built INTO the maf...
